This painting was accepted at the Northern Ontario Art Association Juried Exhibition and won an award. The Exhibition will be travelling around Northern Ontario over the next year. This is a picture of my mom who sadly has dementia. She use to doodle “Joan Jackson was here” where ever she went. She is still here at 89 but not here.
Mom’s Personal Support Worker is Hindu and is particularly loving and kind. She braided mom’s hair and placed a bindi on her “brow chakra”. Hindu tradition holds that all people have a third inner eye. The two physical eyes are used for seeing the external world, while the third focuses inward toward God.
